Sellers Story
We have been living in Earlsdon since 1992 and this house since 1999. Over the years Earlsdon just gets better and better.
There are great pubs, bars, cafes, butchers, greengrocers, many restaurants, library and an easy walk into Coventry. We visit Birmingham many times a year as easy access to Birmingham and London by train. We visit The Albany Theatre regularly for their comedy nights as a 5 min walk and Belgrade Theatre and the City centre is an easy walk. We are on the bus route to Warwick arts centre too which we use a lot. Every year we attend the Coventry Motofest / Godiva festival / food festival memorial park and Earlsdon has its own Mayday festival and all are on our doorstep. There is also the Transport museum, Herbert art gallery which we visit regularly.
We bought it as it is a very attractive, stand-out Edwardian property with great duel aspect rooms, lots of period features such as the sash windows, coving, fireplaces and Minton floors. Also, off street parking and deceptively large garden for the area. The house has so much history, the plot originally sold in 1906 and the house sold in 1909. The garden is a gorgeous haven, the flowers in spring are so colourful and the wisteria at the front often has people stopping to take photos when in bloom.
We are going to seriously miss the house and living in Earlsdon. Both of our work office locations have move from Coventry, so we are moving closer to work to reduce the commute. It has been a very difficult decision to move, as we still love the house and its location.
